The tree kangaroo conservation program

This program began in 1996 and is set up on the Huon peninsula on the far east of Papua New Guinea. It aims to protect Matschie’s tree kangaroos who live over that way.

They’ve had enormous success in protecting the forest for the tree kangaroos and they also offer health care to the local population and training for teachers.
